We Proved Them Wrong
I just can't seem to figure out where I've gone wrong for so long
and I just don't seem to know where to go from here on.
You can blame it on weed, you can blame it on greed,
you can blame it on the money that you didn't need,
you can blame it on fools that thought we were tools,
but we proved them wrong.
I just can't seem to figure out where it went wrong in the song
and everything we know goes to show that we're so lost.
You can blame it on pills, you can blame it on stills,
you can blame it on the injuries that should've been kills.
When you look up above, when push comes to shove,
you can blame it on love.
Hoping
I was hoping that you would take a chance
but I know that's too much to ask.
I know that I have to be a man, not a boy.
But growing up isn't as easy as it seems.
No it's not.
I was hoping that you would take a chance,
but thats for me. Not for you to do.
You just go along with everything you got
and I'll tell myself it'll be alright.

Hope is Not Enough
02:16
|
|||
I've got something to say, but I don't know quite how to say it.
And I've got something to give, but I doubt you're gonna take it.
I know I have to let you go, but I'm not giving up.
All the other girls I've known, I let them go. But I won't let you go.
I let them go, but I won't let you go.
I know what you're gonna say and I'm not trying to drag you down.
'cause you deserve to be happy, no matter how you get that feeling inside that make your sadness go away.
And I've got something to say, but I'm never gonna say it.
And I've got something to give, but you're never gonna take it.
So now I'm gonna let you go, I've already given up,
the one thing that you gave me was hope, but thats not enough,
You gave me hope, but not love.

So This is How
03:56
|
|||
So this is how we come together
try hard and we'll make it through
Barely hanging on forever
what else can we do
If you try to hide you'll barely survive
you just have to find the right corner
Come out now and again to prove you're alive
you cannot always be a loner
cannot always be a stoner
In the shadows, hiding from the light
get away from this place near or far
and find a way to fight
So this is how you kill you're brother
try hard and you'll win the fight
always leeching off each other
but all we wanted was to see the light
If you stuck out you were plucked out
and then you were thrown into the fire
sitting in this place tearing off your face
we cannot always be together
cannot always brave the weather
In the end your only friend
was the darkness you found within the shadows
now in the face of death take your last breath

Freewill and Fate
01:42
|
|||
I'm not sure what kind of world I thought I was in
where you can hope and that's all it is.
But there is no hope unles you do something about it
because freewill determines fate.
I won't sit and wait to desintegrate
that's not how I want to live.

I remember talking to you, all the things I said were oh so true,
but that scheme was just the dream of a fool.
If I could see your eyes maybe I wouldn't be hypnotized.
I think that I could get it right because now I realize
I should've kissed you when I had the chance to.
I should've shown you what I wanted to do.
Time has passed and my heart has cracked.
But when I move on will it all be the same
with another girl with another name?
When I move on, When I move on
will it only be different words to the same old song?
When I move on.
If I could see your eyes maybe I wouldn't be hypnotized.
I think that I could get it right because now I realize
I only thought it through so far
as to to tell you how beautiful you are.
When I said that, that's when my heart began to crack.
And when I move on I'm not gonna let it be the same
with anonther girl with another name.
When I move on, when I move on
it won't only be different words to the same old song
when I move on.
If I could see your eyes maybe I wouldn't be hypnotized.
I think that I could get it right because now I realize
I should've kissed you like a man's supposed to.
I should've shown you what I wanted to do.
But now you're gone, I have to move on.
